Turkish Ramadan

Ingredients:
Syrup Ingredients

2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
juice from 1 lemon (or 2 tablespoons orange juice)
1 teaspoon honey(optional)

2 cups semolina
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 cup whole milk
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon baking soda
2 eggs
blanched split almonds
whipped cream (optional)

-Last 29-30 Days.
-Refrain from eating, smoking, drinking.
-Give to charity more.
-Fast from sunrise to sunset.
-Non-Muslims are invited to celebrate with them.
