Christmas Day Facts

Gunnar - Zambia
1. Many churchs show nativity scenes for several days before Christmas.
2. One or two days before Christmas locals begin caroling for charity donations.
3. After church, adults go to one house and children go to another to have parties and feast

Dale - Costa Rica
1. They decorate their Christmas tree.
2. They go to church on Christmas morning.
3. They have more teachers then police officers.

Lindsey - Bosnia
1. Trees in bosnia are decorated with toys, chocolate, lights and colored balls.
2. All kids must attend school.
3. They go to school for 200 days.

Mark - Norway
1. They have tradition to make baskets of colored paper to hang on a Christmas tree.
2. Christmas afternoon they ask for Sand Kager.
3. Brazil has three levels of education.

John - Romanian
1. Their goat is our groundhog
2. They celebrate from December 24 to January 7
3. Ignat day is on December 20th

Caleb - Zimbabwe
1. They are festive.
2. They party a month before christmas.
3. Spain's school system has five levels of education.

Josh - Brazil
1. Papai Noel is santa
2. They us flowers to decorate during this holiday.
3. Most Christmas songs are imported.

Courtney - Australia
1. We have the same traditions.
2. They have dance parties at the beach.
3. They have special TV programs for this day.

Hannah - The Philippines
1. The Chirstmas celebration starts on December 16.
2. Christmas Eve is a night of no sleep.
3. More than 9% go to primary school, and only half pass.

I had technical difficulties here, so I missed a couple.

Viola - Thailand
1. No snow on Christmas Day.
2. Thailand dosen't get the day off on Christmas.
3. For the feast, they have curry instead of turkey.

Sarah - New Zealand
1. They use the pohutukawa tree for their Christmas tree.
2. Father Christmas is Santa.
3. Santa usually wears shorts and sun glasses.
